Let's talk about why you might do a fall cleanse.

And what is this cleanse about anyway? How is it different?

Hello, I'm Karen Corona. I'm a holistic health practitioner. I've been practicing for 40 years and I'm here to share with you a little bit about Ayurveda and how an Ayurveda fall cleanse can benefit you.

Let's first begin with, what is Ayurveda? Ayurveda is a Sanskrit name. Derived in India over 5, 000 years ago as a medicine for healing the body. This ancient medicine that originated in India, continues to be practiced in India, but we have these practices now in the United States available to us.

Let's talk a little bit about this holistic medicine system called Ayurveda. It's a whole body system, and the Sanskrit name for Ayurveda is actually the science of life, the knowledge of life, and that so describes what we have in this creation in our body. There is life here, there is intelligence here. In fact, you may have heard that we have an innate intelligence in the body.

And if we tap into this innate intelligence, we're able to keep this really good health in our body, our emotional body, our spiritual body, our physical body. We're able to keep that health in balance and we're able to prevent disease. And that's exactly what Ayurveda does. Ayurveda is the prevention of disease.

Once disease sets in the body, then It helps, through the practices and procedures of Ayurveda, we're able to help the body to come back to balance, come back to homeostasis. And what creates our body to go out of balance? Because once the body goes out of balance, We get sick. You've seen this with yourself.

How about the times you've gotten the flu, you've gotten sick, you've gotten a migraine, what's occurred? Just before that migraine, everyone always tells me, Oh yeah, I just had this conversation with someone and I got really upset. And then they have a migraine, right? Yeah, or a woman who is very sensitive and her hormones have gone off and she doesn't understand why.

But there was something emotionally that was brewing inside of her and that wasn't processed. And so the woman's body is very sensitive and in a very good way in that feminine energy. But we need to help ourselves to stay in balance. Consider all the ways we can get out of balance. We have our daily stresses.

We have stresses that occur from life events. bigger life events that are a little bit more challenging. We have toxins, we have environmental toxins, we have internal toxins. Unfortunately, from some of the foods that we're eating, sugar, the refined sugar, the processed foods everyone knows they're not supposed to be eating that stuff.

But When you do, it's going to create this toxic effect in the body. So all these things over time, injuries any kind of illness, even if surgery can create the body to lose its vitality, lose that life force. So we want to rebuild that life force and Ayurveda is a holistic medicine that can help you to do that.

Let's talk a little bit about why you might do a fall cleanse and how we can help this knowledge of life, this innate intelligence become alive again, to start a self healing process so that if you have some type of illness in your body, if you have some type of imbalance already, Then you can help yourself to come back to balance.

You can begin a healing process. You can promote healing. If you do not have an illness, that's wonderful because then we're going to prevent illness and we want to detoxify the body. So when we say a full cleanse, the word cleanse is already telling us we need to do some type of purification. And we want to release those impurities in the body that have accumulated in the organ systems and all the different body systems.

Very important. Many times When we do a cleanse, hormones come back into balance, emotions come back into balance. What do you know? In diabetes, the numbers come down, glucose levels come down. What do you know? It's just amazing. So the body has a self regulation in it. It will. Look to come back to homeostasis.

It will look for its balance, but we need to help it along. So doing a fall cleanse is going to help your body to do exactly that. It also is going to help you to reset your metabolism. Very important. And it will help you to let go of excess fat. A lot of people like that one. And did you know, there's a relationship between the fat that is accumulated in the body with your metabolism.

If your metabolism is imbalanced and it's not working efficiently, yeah, you're going to build up toxins in your body, you're going to create inflammation, you're going to create heat in the body. And you're going to accumulate that you don't have a choice at that point. So the fall cleanse is going to help you to release those impurities.

And it's going to help you to let go of the fat that you no longer want. If you're already thin, no worries. You're not going to lose weight. It's not about that. But again, consider this. If your body is at an imbalance, if you have too much fat if you're overweight, or if you're underweight, What's homeostasis?

Homeostasis is going to help your body come back to balance. So resetting your brain and your body, this chemistry in your brain and your body, is going to help you to come back to balance, whatever that is for you. And let's also look at, especially as we're getting ready to go into the winter season, we want to boost the immune system.

We want that system to be working efficiently. All right. And so Very important. If you have toxins in your body, do not expect your immune system to be working efficiently for you. It doesn't matter how much vitamin C you're going to take. If you have toxins that are sitting in your gut, or sitting in your lungs, or sitting in your kidneys, or your liver, then you're going to accumulate more toxins, actually.

It's just going to be a buildup of toxins. It's going to be, those toxins are going to continue to flow through the bloodstream. In fact, if we don't do a cleanse, that's exactly what happens. Those toxins are just hanging out in your body. There's no place to go. You haven't released them. So what's going to what's going to happen.

You're going to recirculate those toxins back through your bloodstream, yeah? And this is called like an allergen, right? It's like a toxin. It's like your body then starts creating its own toxins. And if you've ever had allergies, you understand that's a recirculation of a particular irritant in the body that has not released itself.

So we need a very clean liver to be able to release those toxins. So of course the fall cleanse is going to clear, and help to purify your liver. The liver has over 500 functions, so that is definitely an organ we want to cleanse. But this is a gentle cleanse. Fall is a different time. In the spring, we do a different Ayurvedic cleanse.

Fall, We have to adjust it to moving into the winter season, whereas in the spring, we're going to be moving into the summer. It's quite different on how we need to cleanse the body. Also, during a cleanse, you want to release negative thoughts. The fall is a perfect time for all of us. to let go of the old.

It's a transformational time where we're actually letting go of our old thoughts. It's a death and dying in a way of our old thoughts, our old ways, our old identity. And the exciting part is that as this death and dying of the old is occurring, We get to restart something new. So we're right on the brink of a new beginning.

So when you work with your body in this way of its cleanse, you're able to set yourself into the new, restart, reset. Everything's about resetting here. We also can balance the doshas, and the dosha in our Veda means the constitution. It's whatever your constitutional balance is, you want to come back to that constitution, your own balance in your body, which may be different in somebody else's body.

Everyone has a slightly different constitution, sometimes a very different constitution. The other part of doing a cleanse is to recharge. Oh yes. Having energy and to sleep. Oh my goodness. If any of you have insomnia, when we start cleaning the toxins out of the body, it starts opening the system in a particular way so it can work more efficiently and the brain and the body work together in your sleep pattern.

The pituitary gland in the center of the head has a lot to do with resetting the brain for the nighttime schedule versus the daytime schedule. It's a resetting of the brain as well. So there's many reasons why we do a fall cleanse. And as I discussed, if we don't do a cleanse, then all of these things, maybe these negative thoughts, these toxins are just going to build up in the body more.

So let me explain to you a little bit about the Ayurvedic cleanse itself. We're going to be working with Ayurvedic principles and protocols. It's an easy step by step instructions for you. We're going to be doing this September 27th, 28th, and 29th.

And I'm going to be doing a live online group. So I can answer your questions, whatever questions you have. The idea is to set your mind and your body, ready for the cleanse, ready to go into it.

And what is this cleanse about anyway? How is it different?

Let's talk about how it's different than, say, the spring cleanse. And how is Ayurveda cleanse different than some of the other cleanses that are out there? In Ayurveda cleanse, We're still going to be eating foods. We have particular healing foods and regenerative foods in Ayurveda. This is why it's so exciting.

And we not only have these foods, but we also have different spices and herbs that we love to eat. We cook with in these foods. I have very simple recipes, but very good recipes. It's one of my, Oh, I love the Arvada spices. If you like Indian food, then you'll love this food. But these are simple recipes that anyone can make.

And I'm just going to say this on the side note. My 28 year old son loves my kitchari. Every time he comes home for a visit, He says, I'm hoping that kitchari is going to be my first meal. He loves the spices and he loves how he feels afterward. So after you eat these foods and these recipes, you feel balanced.

You actually feel your own constitution coming into balance. It's amazing. I hope you can have that experience to join our cleanse. We also have different teas different foods also different supplements that I can suggest just to support .But primarily, food is the medicine in Ayurveda, and that's how we want to look at it.

We also have some Kundalini technologies for healing the body and cleansing the body that we'll be using, mind body practices. This is all part of a program. It's a program. I am very excited to go into the cleanse. I will be doing it with you.

If you can't join me on the 27th, 28th and 29th, this will be recorded. You will have all the instructions. You can do this. anytime this fall, but if you want to do it live with me, we will be doing it as a group. It's going to be a lot of fun.

I hope you can join me. In my next video, I'm going to talk a little bit about Ayurveda and doshas. How you can understand your own dosha, your own constitution to create that balance in your life.

So thank you for joining me today.

I hope you join the cleanse ,and start your healing journey in this way. Or restart as we walk into fall together, that you restart and you reset your body and your brain and your emotions.

Namaste.
